How can I delete a profile?
From the main screen, tap the profile manager icon on the top right corner of the screen. You will then see your profile or a list of profiles.
Swipe your name leftwards to reveal a red Delete button. Tap Delete to remove your profile.
There's a delay between the audio and the lip reading. How can I reduce it?
The delay unfortunately is due to the hardware limitations of smartphones. Capturing the audio, processing it and sending it back via bluetooth to your headphones requires a little bit of time, resulting in a small delay.
Using wired headphones certainly reduces the delay as the sound takes less time to travel to your headphones.
We are constantly working in order to reduce the delay as much as we can, while preserving a great sound quality.
Do I need an internet connection to use Hear Me Well?
No. Hear Me Well works entirely offline. You need an internet connection only to download the app. After that, you can use it anywhere, even where there is no network reception.
The volume is low. Are my settings ok?
To get the most out of Hear Me Well, make sure that the system volume of your device is set to the maximum level. In order to do so, use the side volume buttons. At that point adjust the volume only through the slider on the main screen of the app.
How can I write a review about Hear Me Well on the App Store?
- Tap on the App Store Icon
- Tap in Search
- Type in “Hear Me Well” to search for the app.
- Scroll to the app you want to rate and tap on that apps name
- For iOS 10 and earlier versions:
- tap on the “Reviews” tab (between “Details” and “Related)
- tap on “Write a Review”
- tap on a star rating (5 stars is best, 1 star is worst)
- if you like, enter a title and a review of the app
- For iOS 11 & 12
- scroll down to the “Ratings and Reviews” section
- tap on a star rating
- if you like tap on “Write a Review”
Can I connect the app to the television or to other sound sources?
Hear Me Well cannot be connected to sound sources such as stereo amplifiers, televisions or landline telephones. It can only be connected to Bluetooth headphones.
However, you can still use Hear Me Well to listen the sound coming from your television by placing your device near it. Then with a pair of wireless headphones and an Apple Watch, controlling the app will be incredibly easy.
I have a sever hearing impairment. Will Hear Me Well work?
You are very welcome to try the app to see if it is of any help and contact us for any assistance you might need. However, we cannot guarantee that it will work as each case of hypoacusia is different.
How can I take the audiometric test again?
If you want to take the audiometric test again, you simply have to create a new profile.
To do so follow these steps:
- From the main screen tap the profile manager icon in the top right corner. Once you get into the profiles, tap on the + button.
- This will take you directly to the starting point of the audiometric test. At that point you just need to follow the instructions.
If you have reached the limit of profiles that you can create don’t panic!
Just delete a profile before creating a new one.
How can I request a refund?
If you think that the app doesn’t suit your need you can request for a refund directly on the app store whithin 90 days from the purchase.
In order to request a refund follow these simple steps:
- View your purchase history.
- Locate the order in your purchase history.
- Report a problem.
- Describe your issue.
Refunds are managed by Apple so we can not provide them directly, if you are not eligible for a refund you can not request one. For more information check the official Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions
